Also, as previously mentioned this soundtrack was by far the best out of all three games by a long shot. The levels also feature a branching pathway system, which introduces an aspect of replayability to those who might be interested. However, the two top-down shooting sections in space dragged on for what felt like forever. The levels, save with the exception of the zombie one, are not as memorable as Metal Slug 2's were while also not dragging on as long as Metal Slug 2's did. Metal Slug 3 continues this formula of constantly improving on preestablished formulas by keeping things moving at a constant pace while introducing enough variety to keep the gameplay fresh and varied. Metal Slug 1 was a decent but utterly unfair game and Metal Slug 2 was a much more fair and lively experience but suffered from abysmal slowdown that ruined a lot of the action in several instances. Boasting a kickass Mega Man X-like soundtrack with some of the most detailed and expressive sprite animation I've ever seen, this game oozes with personality. 1h 5m PlayedMy favorite Metal Slug game by far.
